Chris "Birdman" Andersen began his professional career in the 1999-2000 season with the Jiangsu Nagang of the Chinese Basketball League after being snubbed by the NBA draft. Bird averaged 17 points per game on 56.3% shooting, grabbed 13.5 rebounds per game, and averaged 2.5 blocks during the season.
