The Denver Nuggets just can’t get past a rash of injuries, particularly to their wing players. The latest blow was young reserve shooting guard Malik Beasley going down with an apparent ankle injury in last night’s contest against the San Antonio Spurs. It was a shame because up until that point Beasley had been on fire for Denver. He was a huge factor behind Denver building a lead in the first half. In particular he was dynamite during a run from near the end of the first quarter through the beginning of the second where he played well off Nikola Jokic and buried his shots.
Malik has been one of the many players to step up this season so hopefully the ankle tweak is nothing too serious and he’ll be able to get back on the court soon. The Nuggets certainly benefit from play like we saws last night and should have big plans for Malik in their long term future.
