When the Denver Nuggets traded into the 2019 NBA Draft, they were taking a chance on an extremely talented seven-footer out of Oregon, Bol Bol. So far, the Nuggets gamble has paid off as Bol is continuing to showcase his abilities with the Windy City Bulls of the G-League.
Bol played a season-high 28 minutes on Sunday night, which is a positive sign for how his left foot is responding to game action. Denver has been careful with Bol’s injury and rightfully so, which is why Sunday’s game was a massive step in the right direction.
Through five games with the Bulls, Bol is averaging 11.4 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks per game. Bol’s five blocks on Sunday night was the stat that really stood out as that is something he has consistently showcased in each of his games in the G-League.

Bol also showcased his three-point shot, which is something he showed flashes of in his short career at Oregon. In 9 games with the Ducks, Bol shot 52 percent from three and attempted just under three (2.8) a game.
On Sunday, Bol went 3-of-5 from distance and flashed a confidence in his game that is only growing more and more during his time in the G-League. Bol and the Bulls will be back in action Wednesday night against the Raptors 905.
