Nikola Jokic, the best player in the NBA, check that… WORLD is at it again bringing home yet another Western Conference Player of the Week award. This is already the third time Jokic has won the award this season joining Carmelo Anthony as the only Nuggets players to be named player of the week three times in a season.
Jokic has now won the award nine times in his career, which is just one behind the Nuggets franchise record, which is also held by Anthony. It was a big week for Jokic and the Nuggets as he averaged 26.8 points, 12.3 rebounds, 8.5 assists, and 1.7 steals per game.
It wasn’t just how much Jokic was scoring, but how efficient he was doing it as he shot 59 percent from the field and 58 percent from beyond the three-point line. Jokic led the Nuggets to a 3-1 record with their only loss coming on Sunday to the New Orleans Pelicans.
Congrats are in order yet again for Jokic, who continues to play like an MVP front runner!
