In this episode of the Locked On Nuggets podcast, I share notes on the win over the Dallas Mavericks. The Nuggets moved to three games above Dallas in the standings and now have a tie-breaker over the Mavericks in the event that the two teams finish with the same record. The Nuggets offense has been great for two months but tonight they showed just how good they can be if they learn how to defend at just a league average rate.
Will Barton was on fire tonight and Jamal Murray continued to shine as an on-ball playmaker. Nikola Jokic slid back into foul trouble off of silly fouls but also dropped nine assists so it was a mix of good and bad. Big win for the Nuggets ahead of a three-game road trip that will take them from the south to the northeast.
