The Denver Nuggets announced that Danilo Gallinari, the Nuggets forward who was having a career year, tore two ligaments in his ankle against the Dallas Mavericks on Friday night.

This sucks for Gallo big time, but since this is only an ankle injury then he should be back on the court next season. He was having, by far, his best statistical season and was on his way to becoming the Nuggets first 20 point per game scorer since Carmelo Anthony left in 2011.
What the Nuggets do now is try to muddle through. The team has no obvious answers tonight to replace Gallo’s production, and as seen in their loss to the Memphis Grizzlies tonight, scoring and free throw shooting is going to be a huge problem while the Italian is out of the lineup.
Get well soon Gallo
