The Denver Nuggets are slowly rounding out their Summer League roster, this time adding small forward Howard Sant Roos. He is a defensive-minded forward with some Will Barton to his game (and his look) who will be taking on this year’s Axel Toupane role. He will be playing next to the newly-drafted point guard Monte Morris in the Las Vegas tournament that runs from July 7th to 17th.
The Nuggets will have a veritable cadre of young players there, and if they hold to form several players like Jamal Murray and Juancho Hernangomez will play in the first game. That’s how Gary Harris and Emmanuel Mudiay approached last year’s Summer League, and it gave Denver the opportunity to play current Nuggets with potential ones before playing a few more games with essentially a pick-up squad of talent.
Denver has not announced the full squad yet, but recent oversees draftees like Vlatko Cancar and Nikola Radicevic are likely to make an appearance next to Malik Beasley and Tyler Lydon, along with a few more surprises like Sant Roos. Below is a highlight mix for Howard Sant Roos – we’ll have more information on Denver’s Summer League squad as it’s released.
