The similarities between the Denver Nuggets and Indiana Pacers, on the court, have been discussed for a couple of seasons now. Nuggets head coach Brian Shaw brought up another similarity when discussing Danilo Gallinari’s recovery from a partially torn ACL with the man, the myth, the legend Christopher Dempsey from the Denver Post.
Here is what Gallo told Emiliano Carchia, of Sportsnado, yesterday about his timetable:
I'm very happy with how things are going even if the path is still long. It 'been a summer of hard work. Eight hours a day. You see the ball just in picture and the time never passes. But I can see the results of the hard work and according to the doctors I should be ready for the end of November.
Here is what Shaw told Dempsey today:
"There's been several different prognoses of when he's going to return – he's ahead of schedule, he's not. I don't think that's anything anyone can determine at this point," Shaw said. "We will just try to hold the fort down until he is able to get back and feels strong enough to get out there on the floor."
It’s a must read, click here and check it out, as Shaw had some additional comments and compared Gallo’s recovery to a similar experience the Pacers had with Danny Granger, in terms to the team needing to prepare.
As I said yesterday, whenever Gallo returns is fine by me. No need to rush things as knee injuries are serious business and full health is better than rushing back.
