The Nuggets defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder in a huge win on Thursday night and without a doubt it was thanks to the offensive spark provided by Emmanuel Mudiay off the bench.
In his 30 minutes of play, Mudiay scored 21 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and dished out 5 assists. He was perfect from distance and shot a blistering 80% from the field, only missing two contested short range shots in the fourth quarter. He hit some very timely three-pointers and overall his stroke looked smooth as butter. Russell Westbrook, on the other hand, only scored 13 points and was an extremely inefficient 6-for-22 in the loss.
After struggling for his first two seasons it certainly seems like Mudiay is shaping into the player many Nuggets fans thought he could be. When he looks to score and makes the right decisions on offense he is as fun to watch as any other player.
