Malik Beasley had a nice Father’s Day video that was posted on the Denver Nuggets site. In it he talks about his opportunities, learning basketball from his dad (who was also a professional baskeball player overseas before turning to acting) and some of the life lessions his father’s imparted to him.
It’s a quick two minutes, but a nice tribute from one Beasley to another – check it out.
Of course on Monday, Beasley was back in the gym – in China – working on his dribble-handoff cutting game. He’s in China for the fourth Asia Pacific Team Camp Presented by Nike to work with youth in the region, but this is his lunch break. You’ll see Nuggets staffer Ryan Bowen in the clip as well, helping Beasley with both the camp and his personal workouts. The work of being an NBA athlete never stops, especially for a young buck trying to get a stronger foothold in the league.
