The Denver Nuggets needed a road win badly heading into their game against the Orlando Magic on Friday night. After starting out 3-9 on the road and 0-2 on their 6-game road trip, it felt like the Nuggets needed a good performance on the road to get back on the right track.
Friday night did not bring disappointment. The Nuggets beat the Magic, 103-89, snapping a four-game losing streak away from the Pepsi Center. According to Trey Lyles, this game is only the beginning.
With injuries to both Nikola Jokic and Paul Millsap, Lyles has been getting some playing time and it's good to see him express his excitement and optimism for the team on social media. It's obviously been a rare sight this season to see the Nuggets play well on the road, but hopefully this game is indeed the start of something new and the Nuggets can start winning games consistently regardless of where they're playing.
Indiana, you're next.
