One of the great things about Twitter is fans get to have a look inside the minds of their favorite athletes. On Monday night, former Nugget Quincy Miller forwarded this request to Wilson Chandler:

Chandler responded by giving us his preferenes at each position, with the preface that he was only considering the players he had the opportunity to see. This obviously excludes greats such as Wilt Chamberlin, Bill Russell, and Oscar Robertson, just to name a few.

These five players are definitely some of the greatest players to ever play the game of basketball. I think he has a nice lineup going. It’s not a strictly offensive lineup, as it includes the defensive skills of Michael Jordan, LeBron James and Kevin Garnett. Those three would not allow opposing teams to score over 100 points too frequently. Allen Iverson and Kobe Bryant, on the other hand, would be ridiculous on offense together. This lineup also means that four of the five starting five have the ability to be the primary playmaker and/or ball handler. That’s a lot of flexibility and would be great in the modern era of basketball. The only question would be how to get all five of those players involved to the extent that they can still produce at the highest level possible. Still, that’s a lineup that would dominate this league. Golden State Warriors who?
What do you think of Chandler's picks? Do you agree, or would you substitute one or two (or more) for other options? What would be his lineup's weakness, if any, in this day and age?
