With the 30th pick in the 2015 NBA Draft the Golden State Warriors select Christian Wood, Power Forward, UNLV.

Mancar:

You are the champions, I mean what more could you possibly want? What more could you possibly need? Is it not enough that you have not one, but two deadly shooters? I guess it's perfectly okay that you have two defensive/locker room presence guys in Iggy and Andrew Bogut who can pick up the slack at any time? How about an underrated small forward? Check, you got Harrison Barnes. I bet you think it is alright to keep the extremely hard working Draymond Green? Oh and your benchn…well Leandro Barbosa, David Lee, Shaun Livingston, Festus Ezeli .etc …YOU MAKE ME SICK!

Well as it turns out the best of teams never stop looking for talent. With a deep bench and some nice prospects waiting, Golden State could really go in any direction here. AND I MEAN ANY DIRECTION. They could draft and stash. They could trade back so that they don't have to commit salary to a rookie. They could draft really any position. They could even combine some of their larger salary with their pick to free up some money in a trade. However in my fantasy world they are going to stick with this pick and like it.

Christian Wood is a scrawny yet scrappy power forward. His game reminds me of a Jon Henson and Marcus Camby hybrid, and that is not a bad thing with the 30th pick. His offensive game is still developing and he has the tools to become a better defender. He can spot up and shoot, he can post up in the paint, and he can finish in transition. Those are all excellent things to add to an already deadly arsenal of players with the Warriors. Placing him on the bench and easing him into any situation is never a bad thing. This would give him the opportunity to add to his frame and polish his rough edges … and believe me he has some rough edges.

JaVale Mcgee. JaVale Mcgee. One more time. JaVale Mcgee. We all remember the promise that was once an athletic big who never realized his potential. I see the same thing with Christian Wood. His approach to the game leaves much to be desired. He quits on plays many times and makes some very questionable decisions. He struggles to box out and has a harder time with bigger players. But if you take the potential he has and bundle it together with a very focused and hard nosed team; then perhaps it is the perfect situation for him.

*I want to thank all who participated in this series. Your picks and analysis were excellent, and it really opened my eyes to prospects who I rarely paid attention to. I hope you all enjoyed it. I know I did. We have an excellent community here, and you all went above and beyond!*
