The Denver Nuggets athletic forward Kenneth Faried spoke with Brett Pollakoff from NBC Sports’ Pro Basketball Talk about Masai Ujiri, George Karl, and what’s next for the Nuggets.
Faried on Karl:
"I'm not surprised about anything in this league anymore," Faried said. "It's a business and things happen for a reason, so I'm just focused on what I've got to do on the court and leave all the business side to my management, my agent, and the ownership of the Nuggets. I'm going to stay out of all of that."
Not exactly rushing to defend his coach, but he’s right … you can’t be in the NBA long before you realize the tough decisions that are made on a daily basis in the business. Even Chauncey Billups chimed in on Karl’s firing to Chris Tomasson from Fox Sports Florida:
"I was a little surprised by the timing of it,'' Billups said. "But you look at the whole big picture, when you can't get out of the first round, it's tough. It's tough."
