As we wind down the preseason, Denver has an intriguing match up. The Utah Jazz finished last season playing defense at an historic level. After the trade of the human side of beef that is Enes Kanter, Rudy Gobert controlled the paint like, well, like a 7’2″ athletic freak with a 9’7″ standing reach. Still a bone of contention among fans for the Nuggets draft night trade, Gobert only allowed an astounding 40.6% shooting at the rim last season. One wonders if his national team teammate, Joffrey Lauvergne, might be able to offer some tips to the team in attacking the Stifle Tower.
