David Aldridge, from NBA.com, finally tweets about some Nuggets related news:
Nuggets continue to “grind it out” w/JaVale McGee reps, aware that whichever team (PDX, Indy) loses Hibbert will have $ available 2 offer.

Twitter Explanation: The Nuggets are still in talks with McGee’s people and they know that Portland and Indiana are waiting in the wings. Portland extended a contract to restricted free agent Roy Hibbert and if Indiana matches that, the Blazers could come after McGee. If Indiana let’s their All-Star center walk, then the Pacers could come calling for McGee.
My theory – the Nuggets will wait until free agents can actually sign on the dotted line and then announce the McGee deal. Thus not allowing the Blazers or Pacers a chance to swoop in and up the ante for the talented center. I'm likely wrong, but it's fun to think of this NBA free agency period as chess, not checkers.
Podcast: Jeff Morton joined the Colorado Sports Guys show to talk Nuggets free agency, the crazy contracts being handed out this off-season, and some movie talk.
