It was like Aaron Gordon had been with the Denver Nuggets all season long, that’s how good his debut went on Sunday night. It all started when Gordon made a pull up jump shot just a few minutes into the first quarter and that truly opened the flood gates.
Gordon went on to dunk a ball off a great pass from Nikola Jokic just a few possessions later as those two really seemed to click in their first game together. For the first bucket of the second half, Gordon dunked one off a pick and roll set with Jokic, which looks impossible for opposing team to try and stop.
Gordon finished with 13 points on 6-of-9 shooting from the field, 1-of-4 from three in just 20 minutes of action. He also hauled in two boards, dished out one assist, and contributed one steal in the victory. An incredibly successful debut for Gordon to say the least.
