Here at Denver Stiffs, we’ve talked a lot about how Gary Harris has so much chemistry with Nikola Jokic on the basketball court. The two seem to connect for at least two or three great passes every game, many of the beautiful variety. Back door cuts, alley-oops, and kickouts for threes. Those two are on the same wave-length and it’s part of the reason that Harris is a lock to be a part of this team’s future for years to come.
But what’s even more exciting is that Harris is developing some really great chemistry with Mason Plumlee. Plumlee is a fantastic passer in his own right. Harris is every passer’s dream. First of all, he can flat out shoot the ball. He’s shooting 42.6% behind the arc 4.4 3FGA per game. That is the 5th highest mark of all players to attempt at least 4 three’s per game.
He’s also a terrific cutter. Cutting and getting open without clogging up space is one of the most valuable skills in basketball. I often think that off ball moves to get open are more important and valuable than moves with the ball in your hand. Harris is all-NBA at cutting and it’s a huge part of why he’s turned into one of the best wing prospects in the league. Check out these highlights!
