One of the brighter spots of the Nuggets season was the development of Jamal Murray, who was on full display Wednesday night in Oklahoma City.
Murray torched the Thunder for 27 points, scoring in a variety of ways within the Nuggets offense. In what amounted to his best three-point shooting performance of the season, Murray shot a blistering 4-for-5 from deep and 10-for-17 overall on the night. He also contributed to the offense with six assists and snagged a couple rebounds as well.
Overall, it was great to see one more big scoring performance from the rookie, who has progressed nicely as an offensive threat thanks to both his shooting and his underrated athleticism. Though Murray didn’t quite catch his career high of 30 points, this did mark the eighth time this season that he scored 20 points or more. He will very much be a large part of the Nuggets’ success in the years to come, and we can’t wait to see it!
