As Denver Nuggets fans, we’ve all been analyzing this roster for months, wondering which players are ready to make a leap and what role each player will have. Most of the talk centers around Jamal Murray, Emmanuel Mudiay, Nikola Jokic, and Gary Harris. But what if Juancho is good? Really, really good? Like, Kyle Korver can’t-miss-if-he’s-open good? Because I think he might be that type of catch-and-shoot shooter and he has a lot of other great tools in his arsenal as well. Like rebounding and passing.
His shot looks so smooth and he shoots it with such confidence. Tonight, he lit up Staples Center Citizens Business Bank Arena to the tune of 18 points and every one of his shots looked pure. I’m starting to wonder how long it will take for him to get a reputation as the guy you can’t under any circumstances leave open.
For the Nuggets, the ball was popping tonight and swinging around the court on Denver’s end. That created a recipe for Juancho to receive wide open looks all night and he buried them. Check out the full highlights and start to wonder just how great of a shooter this guy can be. That he plays within himself and rebounds well is just icing on the cake.
