Nikola Jokic returned from a surprisingly long-lasting bout with the flu and looked like he didn’t miss a beat. Aside from his 7 turnovers, Joker looked great, handing out his patented no-look dimes, scoring with soft touch, and owning the boards. He finished with 21-10-7-4-1, a pretty healthy stat sheet. He even had 12 “potential” assists so his triple double was a lot closer but a few guys missed some easy finishes.
But Nuggets fans will take any production that helps the team get a win and last night’s win over the Celtics was an important one. It kept Denver from falling out of the playoff spot. More importantly, it was one of the best wins of the season for a Nuggets team that desperately needed a bounce back after an injury and illness plagued week.
