Following an explosive victory over the Golden State Warriors on Monday, the Nuggets failed to take that momentum with them to Pepsi Center on Wednesday night as the Minnesota Timberwolves defeated Denver 112-99.
Even the great Nikola Jokic struggled shooting after posting his second career triple-double against Golden State, as he finished with 15 points on just 6-19, which per Adam Mares is just the first time he shot below 50% since November 21! In addition to the 15 points, Jokic pulled down a hefty 14 rebounds, dished out four assists, and had four blocks and a steal.
This was by far Jokic’s worst game in what seems like ages and to be honest we’re lucky he’s still alive after he fell victim to a certain dunk by Andrew Wiggins in the fourth quarter. Overall, it’s crazy that a 15-14 double-double like this has now become considered pedestrian for the Joker. One bad game isn’t the end of the world. He’ll be back.
