Nikola Jokic was a man possessed at Ball Arena on Sunday afternoon as he scored 47 points to lead the Denver Nuggets to a 128-117 victory over the Utah Jazz.
In arguably the Nuggets best win of the season, Jokic put the team on his back to the tune of 47 points on 17-of-26 shooting from the field, 4-of-4 from beyond the three-point line, and 9-of-10 from the free-throw line. Jokic also recorded another double-double with 11 rebounds to go along with five assists.
It all started in the first quarter as Jokic dropped 22 points, which is a career-high for a quarter. Jokic then tacked on 11 points in the second quarter two give him 33 points going into halftime.
At this point the Nuggets already had a 79-54 lead because they shot 15-of-17 from three in the first half. It was more of the same from Jokic in the second half as he dominated late to lead the Nuggets to victory.
