When the Denver Nuggets re-signed Paul Millsap this offseason I’m not even sure they envisioned the type of impact he could have on their potential success this season. After struggling in the playoffs last year, Millsap has turned back the clock and is looking like a player that can seriously help the Nuggets push for their first NBA title.
Millsap was great in the Nuggets first two preseason games, but he was particularly incredible in their third preseason game on Friday night. In just 15 minutes of action, Millsap scored a team-high 24 points on 9-14 shooting from the field, 2-5 from beyond the arc. Millsap only played in the first half adding five rebounds and one assist to his phenomenal scoring numbers.
If Millsap can continue to play this well it’s going to be a joy to watch. Hopefully the first three preseason games were a sign of things to come for Millsap.
