Will Barton was on one last night against the Mavericks. He put in 31 points from every spot on the court. When he’d get his defender out on an island, he’d toy with him before driving past him for the easy bucket. When the defense would sag off, he’d drain a three. Thrill had the whole package working tonight and was the main reason the Nuggets won the game running away. He also had eight rebounds and five assists, filling up the stat sheet.
Hopefully this is a sign of things to come on this road trip. The Nuggets are a different team when Barton is getting buckets. You know Jokic will get his points. Danilo Gallinari, Wilson Chandler, and Gary Harris have been eating greedy more often than not. But when Barton is feeling it, the Nuggets have weapons both in the starting lineup and on the bench and can put up 110 or more on anybody.
