The Nuggets defeated the Trail Blazers on Monday night, 104-101, in large part because Jamal Murray went scorched earth hot from the field.
The second-year point guard from Canada made 14 of his 19 field goals, including four of his six 3-point attempts, to finish with 38 points, outdueling Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum.
It didn’t matter if Murray was scoring at the rim, in the midrange, or from the perimeter – it was all working for the former Kentucky Wildcat. Murray was pushing the pace all night, and was active on the boards too, finishing with five rebounds. He had a few nice passes to set up his teammates as well, including an energizing alley-oop in the third quarter to Mason Plumlee.
These are highlights you’re going to want to watch like 100 times.
