In case you missed it, Team USA had their hands full against some Nuggets this weekend. First, on Friday Nikola Jokic nearly carried Serbia to a win with a 25 point outburst, then on Sunday Joffrey Lauvergne flat out put Demarcus Cousins on a poster with a ferocious jam in the fourth quarter. It helped energize France all the way to the end where, just like Serbia, they came up just three points shy of forcing overtime.

Lauvergne finished out the game with 12 points. Despite the loss, France will advance to the elimination round where it looks destined to get a tough draw in the opening round. Depending on how things shake out in the final games of group stage tonight, the French in all likelihood will draw either Argentina, Lithuania, Croatia or Spain.
