In this episode of the Locked on Nuggets podcast, I am joined by my friend Bogdan Popa from Romania. Bogdon flew to Denver to watch his favorite sports team, the Denver Nuggets, play at Pepsi Center. He caught an unbelievably perfect game.
The Nuggets tied an NBA record by making 16 three-pointers in the first half and tied another record by making 24 threes in the game. The Nuggets offense, which has been unstoppable for two straight months, was arguably as dominant as ever as they laid 132 points on the Golden State Warriors. It was a night I’ll never forget and another in a long line of breakout performances by Nikola Jokic. Joker finished with 17 points, 21 rebounds, and 12 assists, his second triple double this month. Rookie Juancho Hernangomez scored a career-high 27 points including six three-pointers.
This game was incredible. I’ll probably watch the game a dozen times. I may save it on the DVR to rewatch whenever I need to lift spirits. It was truly an inspiring and just plain fun game to watch. This team has so much potential and they showed it tonight.
