What a weird night at the can. In this episode of the Locked on Nuggets podcast, I discuss all of the major takeaways from last night’s game. Most noteworthy was the fact that Nikola Jokic attempted just 3 FGAs, two of which were end of shot clock heaves. He also appeared visibly upset throughout the game, despite being the team’s second best player, racing out to a +21 plus-minus, and throwing 7 assists. So what is going on with him?
Also, Emmanuel Mudiay started off slow in the Jokic-Mason Plumlee lineup but bounced back to have a nice game after the first few minutes. Will Barton continues to be a major contributor on both ends. And lastly, how about Kenneth Faried? The second most tenured Nuggets player might also be the key to this team’s ideal rotation, playing excellent alongside both Jokic and Paul Millsap.
