Adam Zagoria of the New York Times has tweeted out that Kenrich Williams, the 6’7” guard out of TCU, will play for the Denver Nuggets at Summer League this year. Late this morning, a front office member confirmed the news for the Stiffs.
Williams is a strong defender and shot 37.5% from deep over the course of this three year career with the Horned Frogs. With such a large frame and an ability to keep the defense honest from deep, Williams falls under the ideal player archetype for the modern NBA. In today’s game, teams covet guys of his size who can fill out the forward positions in small ball lineups.

Given his unfortunate injury history—Williams underwent microscopic surgery on his knee in 2015 and the pain has persisted over the subsequent years—it’s not a surprise that Williams went undrafted. But he’ll receive more opportunities to reach the next level thanks to his potential versatility and his strong senior season at TCU. Williams averaged 13.2 points per game, 9.3 rebounds per game and shot 40 percent from deep. That was enough to be tabbed second team All-Conference in the Big 12.
You can expect Williams to see significant minutes this summer.
