The Denver Nuggets defeated the Boston Celtics, 96-92, on Friday night, with Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic leading the team to a big win over one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference.
With the pending weekend, there were several local sports figures in attendance at the game. Denver Broncos head coach Vic Fangio was at the game, and former Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning was also spotted in the stands to enjoy the game.
In the fourth quarter of the game, during a timeout, Manning was handed a football, and the Nuggets super-mascot Rocky ran out onto the court to get open for a pass from Manning. The future Hall of Fame quarterback reared back, let fly a spiral, landing the ball directly in Rocky’s hands …. or paws? Either way, Rocky wasn’t able to pull in the pass (LIKE AGHOLOR) and Manning was left to just dismiss the Nuggets mascot.
Look, if Rocky is going to be dropping passes, maybe just stick to the halfcourt shot. Can’t be having you out there not converting pass attempts into first downs.
