The front office of the Denver Nuggets sat down together for a press conference at media day.
Josh Kroenke, Tim Connelly, and Michael Malone took the stage to field questions from the media on a variety of topics, including the following:
- the Nuggets starting power forward
- team goals for the 2016-17 season
- the decision to bring Juancho Hernangomez over from Spain
- the dollars spent in free agency
- the training camp roster and whittling that down to 15
- the feasibility of the "Jurkic" (Jokic at PF, Nurkic at C) lineup
- the versatility of the modern day "positionless" basketball players
- adding a Developmental League team "in the near future"
- a new practice facility
- discussing race issues in the wake of protests by professional athletes involving the national anthem
- Emmanuel Mudiay's improvement in his rookie season
- increasing attendance at home games
- how the Nuggets can win games without an alpha player
- retiring Dikembe Mutombo's jersey
It appears that our staff member had some technical difficulties with the Facebook Live video (probably has a contract with Sprint), but the press conference video will be posted here as soon as it is available.
