NOTE FROM THE DENVER STIFFS TEAM: We ask that you PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not post who the pick is until David Stern / Adam Silver announce it. Some reporters out there will have the pick before Stern does, but please don't ruin the anticipation of the folks in the open threads today. We thank you for that!
For a primer on the recent drafts by the Nuggets, look no further than Nate's excellent retrospective here.
Tonight, I frankly have no idea what to expect out of our front office. Given GM Tim Connelly's recent comments that many of the current Nuggets would go higher than 27th and are as young or younger than players in this draft, I think it's quite possible that the Nuggets look to make a draft-day trade for a veteran and future considerations.
The rest of the NBA world is similarly confused about what the Nuggets will do with their pick tonight. DraftExpress has the Nuggets selecting the 7'2" and 240 pound center Rudy Gobert, out of France, while Hoopsworld has the Nuggets taking anyone from Tony Snell to Gobert to Reggie Bullock to Ricky Ledo. With no clear consensus pick at their position and given the tumultuous last month this franchise has experienced, it's very difficult to predict exactly how the Nuggets will act.
