It was good to see Denver Nuggets rookie point guard Emmanuel Mudiay participating in practice today, if it was only shooting by himself. The Nuggets lack of depth at point guard has hurt, as Jameer Nelson has been forced into playing far too many minutes and Randy Foye, quite frankly, is not a point guard by any stretch. That doesn’t mean that Mudiay would immediately start whenever he returns. He is listed as questionable for the Nuggets game against the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday. That’s definitely a good sign.
Michael Malone also addresses the learning curve of Nikola Jokic, and having to face players such as Zach Randolph and Marc Gasol in Memphis and what he took from playing those two. It’s interesting to see how positively Malone addresses the Nuggets rookie big man. It seems he has really impressed Malone with his intelligence and willingness to learn from his mistakes.
