Emmanuel Mudiay is nothing if not introspective. He does seems to want to get better and works constantly on his shot, floor direction, vision and other aspects of being a point guard. Head coach Michael Malone has decided the last couple games to go with back up veteran point guard Jameer Nelson down the stretch. It’s a strategic decision to get some wins but to also direct Mudiay on the things he needs to improve on. Emmanuel does know what he needs to do and is taking a very mature stance on it.
Malone addressed, again, the minutes Danilo Gallinari is playing with his current bone bruise, Last night Malone said Gallo is playing more minutes than he’s like him to. Today he backed off that stance a little, while acknowledging that the lack of healthy bodies and the fact that the team tends to fall apart when Gallo is on the bench for long stretches has influenced his decision making there. Fascinating stuff. Hopefully Gallo can continue to play through the injury and give the Nuggets good minutes.
