Very quick Denver Nuggets practice today at Pepsi Center. The team had to catch a flight to New Orleans for a battle with the 1-8 Pelicans tomorrow. A couple of players stayed afterwords to work on specific things.
First off Emmanuel Mudiay has been working on his floater the last couple times I’ve been at practice. Seems to be something he really wants to get down. Nice to see the young guy try to add some elements to his game. Additionally Danilo Gallinari spent some time working on his dribbling and handle. There’s a white bracket the Nuggets have been using this year to help the players out with their dribbling, and have been using it primarily during pre-game warm-ups.
The Nuggets I saw at practice seemed to be in good spirits and willing to chalk up the game against the Phoenix Suns as an anomaly. The Nuggets DO need to learn how to win on the second nights of back to backs. They will have another crack at it tomorrow and Wednesday night.
