In this episode, I share my notes on the Denver Nuggets win over the Dallas Mavericks. Jamal Murray continues to shine as a 4th quarter closer, especially alongside Monte Morris. The shorthanded Nuggets are starting to look like a team that is figuring themselves out and growing more confident with every game. And Nikola Jokic continues to raise the bar for himself and for this team.
For the last three years, die-hard Denver Nuggets fans argued that Jokic wasn’t some novelty or sideshow. That his advanced stats weren’t doctored or misleading. That his perceived flaws such as poor defense or an inability to carry a team as a scorer were either overblown or wrong entirely. As the Denver Nuggets improved to 21-9 and as Jokic has led the team in the absence of Paul Millsap, Gary Harris, and Will Barton, Nuggets fans can finally sit back and say ‘I freaking told you so!’
