The awards and honors keep rolling in for Nikola Jokic as he was named First Team All-NBA today for the second time in his career.
Jokic was also named to the first team back in 2019 then made All-NBA Second Team last season. Just last week Jokic was named MVP of the league becoming the lowest draft pick all-time and the first player in Nuggets franchise history to win the award.
It certainly was a season to remember for Jokic as he played in all 72 of the Nuggets regular season games averaging career highs in points (26.4), rebounds (10.8), and assists (8.3). Jokic did all that while also averaging a career-high 34.6 minutes per game, just an absolute workhorse.
Jokic then led the Nuggets to the Western Conference semifinals following a series victory over the Portland Trail Blazers. In 10 playoff games, Jokic averaged 29.8 points, 11.6 rebounds, and five assists per game. Really solid numbers that helped lead the Nuggets to another solid showing in the postseason.
Congrats again to, The Joker!
