The NBA announced on Monday that Nikola Jokic has been named Western Conference Player of the Week for the second-straight week.
Jokic has now been named Western Conference Player of the Week eight times in his career and is the first Nuggets player to win back-to-back since Carmelo Anthony did so during the 2006 season per Nuggets PR.
In a week that saw the Nuggets go 3-1, Jokic dominated the competition averaging 30.8 points, 10.8 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 1.3 steals per game. Jokic’s best performance came on Sunday as he tied his career-high with 47 points to lead the Nuggets to a 128-117 victory over the Utah Jazz.
Western Conference Player of the Month could be coming next for Jokic, who has been on an MVP tear to start the season.
