The NBA announced the full list of participants in this year’s Taco Bell Skills Challenge on Tuesday night, and Denver Nuggets star, Nikola Jokic, was included.
This will be the second time that Jokic participates in the Skills Challenge and the second event to be added to Big Honey’s plate over All-Star weekend, as this time he’ll be featured in the main event itself.
Back in 2017, Jokic eliminated Anthony Davis in the first round, only to be knocked out by Kristaps Porzingis shortly after. That actually happened. I’m not just making an excuse to fit Porzingis and Davis into my SEO here.
This year, Jokic and fellow “Nikola”—Vucevic of the Orlando Magic—will be the only centers competing in the event. It should be fun to see Jokic more than once over AS weekend, but it’s admittedly a little surprising to see him agree to an additional event that includes running.
