Welcome to Loud City | Blogs | You’re here! |
Steven Adams (fractured hand) | Injuries | JaVale McGee (leg) |
In order to hit 50 wins this season (the magical number that should get them into the playoffs), OKC must finish 24-7 for the remainder of the season. | Etc… | A loss tonight would result in the longest home losing streak in 12 seasons for Denver |
The only suspense going into tonight's game is how soon will Kevin Durant be able to bark, "You're down twenty now, Homie." My guess based on recent performance, would be midway through the 2nd quarter.
If Denver plays especially lifeless tonight and tomorrow, we could be witnessing the final two games of the Brian Shaw era in Denver. A loss tonight would make for the longest home losing streak in 12 seasons for the Nuggets, their 13th loss in 14 games.
"Thank you, sir. May I have another?"
I would love to write about how a Thunder team off a back to back entering the Nuggets’ sanctuary should provide enough of an edge for the plucky Nuggets to upset the revitalized team from Oklahoma City, but we all know that is not a reasonable expectation. I hope to see some fight in the first half and see that carry over throughout the second half. I expect to see a flat lifeless team lay down to superior competition.
Reason to watch
Jusuf Nurkic vs Kendrick Perkins! Young Goon v Old Goon. Watching these two elbow each other down low should be a treat.
Prediction
Thunder run away early and stave off a late push by the Nuggets. OKC 115 – DEN 101
