Interior: Michael Jordan's palatial mountain estate (presumably). Inside his office everything is furnished in white except for his desk, which is black marble (work with me here). Jordan sits , wearing a completely white suit with white shoes in a plush leather chair while resting his feet on his desk. He is smoking a large cigar. There is a knock at the office door.
(knock knock)
Jordan: (coughs) Yeah?!
A muffled voice from the other side of the door announces that Bobcats General Manager Rich Cho is here to see Jordan. He get’s his feet off the desk and loudly beckons Cho inside. Cho enters the office. he is wearing a gray suit with a black tie. He coughs and sheepishly sits down at the chair opposite Jordan’s
Jordan: (coughs again) Dick!
Cho: Uh, Rich –
Jordan: You know why I called you in here Dick?
Cho: Is it because of our poor record this season? Oh, and it's Rich…
Jordan stares without recognition at Rich Cho
Jordan: I didn't bring you in here to Bismack you on the behind. No, that's not my style. (Jordan puts his feet back on his desk and blows out smoke into the ceiling) No Dick, I just wanted to Gana Diop some history on you. You see, it wasn't always easy for me, Michael Jordan. I did it the Harden way –
Cho: – You mean you want me to go after James Harden?? Oh Michael thats wonder-
Jordan: Shut up! I’m talking. (Jordan gets up from his desk and trudges to the giant bay windows behind his desk. He sighs) You see, the first 5 years of my career I was coached by Doug Collins, and even though I liked him things weren’t working. I had to Byron Mullens things over for myself. Really think things through you know. Then, when Doug was fired and Phil Jackson came in … well, things improved. I became … the greatest.
There's a pregnant pause while Cho tries to process Jordan's words while simultaneously wondering if he should speak up
Cho: Well I –
Jordan: – Dick … I want the Bobcats to be like the Bulls. I’m not saying we are “Dunlap” with our coach. Quite the opposite. I don’t want to Kemba Walker all over you and tell you to do anything. Yet, I think I’ve made my point clear. We need … something. (Jordan sighs and leans his arm against the window while gazing out at the trees)
Cho sits in stunned silence. Then speaks
Cho: …uh …. yeah. Yeah I guess I understand. We play the Nuggets tonight, and I'm quite worried that this loss will pull the JaVale on our season. It's the Lawson that we compete until the very end.
Jordan: Dick…
Cho: Yeah … yeah I understood you.
Jordan: Good! Now, who did we just trade for?
Cho: Josh McRoberts.
Jordan pinches the bridge of his nose and slowly returns to his leather chair. He sits down and places his elbows on the desk and looks directly at Rich Cho while chomping on his cigar
Jordan: McRoberts?
Cho: Yes, he was with the Orlando Magic. Was on the Los Angeles Lakers and the Indiana Pacers prior to that.
Jordan: Well, I've just got one thing to say…
(Jordan glares at Cho. Looking directly into his eyes. After what seemed to be an eternity, a smile creeps across his face)
Jordan: Championship SON!!
Cho: Awwwwww yeeeeah!
The two men rise up and clasp hands in slow motion. The camera pans upward while the two men yell triumphantly at each other, You're the Best Around by Joe Esposito plays in the background as the movie fades to black
