PJ Dozier has been one of the best players in the G-League this season and the Nuggets may need him tonight. Jamal Murray (back pain) and Gary Harris (right adductor strain) are both listed as questionable, which may cause them to sit out against the Charlotte Hornets.
Michael Malone said after the Nuggets game on Sunday night that both Murray and Harris played though some pain in their victory over the Clippers. Harris was unable to finish the game, but Murray was able to and both players still put together solid performances.
If one or even both sit out Wednesday night it could pave the way for Dozier to make his Nuggets debut. Dozier has appeared in eight NBA games during his career, but has yet to do so in a Nuggets uniform.
Dozier could definitely provide the Nuggets some juice as he has been one of the G-League’s rising stars this season. In 18 games with the Windy City Bulls, Dozier is averaging 21.2 points in just under 37 minutes a game.
Not only is Dozier playing a lot, but he is shooting at an impressive 43 percent from the field on just under 18 shots a game. Dozier is also averaging 7.7 rebounds, 7.3 assists, and 1.6 steals per game to go along with all his other eye popping numbers.
