The Denver Nuggets officially announced on Tuesday morning the signing of Austin Rivers to a 10-day contract:
Rivers entered the league back in 2012 with the New Orleans Hornets and has since played with the Pelicans, Los Angeles Clippers, Houston Rockets, Washington Wizards, and New York Knicks.
His most recent stop was in New York with the Knicks as Rivers averaged 7.3 points in just 21 minutes a game. Rivers best season came back in 2017-18 with the Clippers when he averaged a career-high 15.1 points per game while shooting a career best 37.8 percent from beyond the arc.
Rivers provides the Nuggets another veteran presence who can defend and score the ball off the bench. It provides the Nuggets added depth after losing Jamal Murray for the remainder of the season and Monte Morris for the distant future.
Welcome to Denver, Austin Rivers!
