It’s game day!
I’ve been waiting all weekend for tonight as I’m sure many of you have.
After watching a lot of basketball yesterday I’m pretty much ready for anything. The Bulls marched into Boston and beat the Celtics for the first time ever in the playoffs … and yes that includes the MJ era. The Mavericks handled the Spurs in San Antonio. The Rockets, behind rookie point guard Aaron Brooks and his 27 points went into the Rose Garden and exploited the Blazers.
For those of you scoring at home that makes it road teams three and home teams one as the Cavaliers were the only team who held strong at home by beating the Pistons.
The Nuggets for the sixth straight season are waiting to tip-off a playoff series and Denver fans finally will get that game at home. It’s now up to the players to take advantage of what they worked so hard for all 82 games long.

Pepsi Center: Hope some of you will be in attendance tonight. I'll be sitting up in the rafters in section 368 with the Melo's Yellows group. Roughly 168 of us and a good portion will be wearing yellow t-shirts … should be fairly noticable if you're there or maybe a glimpse on TV.
Playoff Stats:
- April 29th, 1988 was the last Nuggets time the Nuggets opened the playoffs at home. The Nuggets beat the Seattle Supersonics 126-123. The same Nuggets team that finished 54-28 (best mark in franchise history)
- The Nuggets are 6-1 in Game 1's in Denver

I think we can all recall when Reggie Evans grab/punched the "under-carriage" of the Clippers' Chris Kaman in the 2006 playoffs. Let's just hope as reader 5280 emailed me that Chris Paul doesn't revert to his Wake Forest days as this clip versus North Carolina State and former Nugget guard Julius Hodge shows:
