The Denver Nuggets embark on what hopes to be a championship run tonight when they welcome the Minnesota Timberwolves to town. After defeating the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday night to secure a playoff spot, the Timberwolves come to town looking to knock off the Nuggets. Not if the Nuggets have something to say about it though as Denver’s had the last week off to rest and get healthy, while the Timberwolves have been fighting just to make the playoffs.
After blowing a big time lead in their first play-in game against the Los Angeles Lakers, the Timberwolves bounced back in a big way and absolutely dominated the Thunder to secure the Western Conference’s final playoff spot. Their reward for securing that spot is a matchup against the Nuggets, who are fully healthy and motivated to make a long postseason run that hopefully ends with the first title in franchise history.
