The Lakers once inhabited Minneapolis, where there are … indeed, lakes. Etc… The Nuggets are struggling to beat bad teams at home convincingly.

The Los Angeles Lakers come to the Mile High City to face the Denver Nuggets. The Lakers have Kobe Bryant back in their lineup, just in time to make his first trip to Denver since the 2012-13 season. As he usually has hoards of fans that follow him, expect Pepsi Center to have it’s fair share of Purple and Gold in the stands. Hopefully Nuggets fans can rise up and drown them out.

Outside of Bryant, the Lakers are just another struggling Western Conference team that is likely positioning itself to keep it’s 2015 draft pick (which will go to the Phoenix Suns if it lands outside the top 5). First year Lakers coach Byron Scott is having trouble finding the right mix of players, but having the ever entertaining Nick Young on the bench does bring some much needed entertainment to the proceedings.

The Nuggets are struggling to come out of their firmly entrenched streak of mediocrity. Looking for a spark from anywhere. With Danilo Gallinari (who was beginning to play well again) out, the Nuggets bench is even more scattershot and coach Brian Shaw is having a tough time finding the right mix to put on the court.

Hopefully the Nuggets find a way tonight to bring home the victory in cold, cold Denver Colorado.
