Well that was disappointing.
After beating the Grizzlies by 29 points earlier in the month, the Grizzlies returned the favor. Plus one actually, as the Nuggets lost by 30 points. The full recap is coming shortly but the cliff notes version is short and (not so) sweet. The Nuggets came out ice cold, the Grizzlies came out on fire, and it was all down hill from there. The Nuggets looked every bit like a team that was playing their 4th game in 5 nights against a better team in their building.
The Nuggets shot their lowest FG% of the season at 33.7%, scored their fewest point total of the season and tied for their 2nd largest margin of defeat. All 13 players played over 12 minutes tonight, including JaVale McGee who hasn't been on the court since December 5th. Alonzo Gee also played tonight after receiving DNP's over the last 5 games.
Tonight's 30-point loss comes just 10 days after the team's 43-point loss at Golden State, giving the team a collective -90 point differential over their last seven games.
