The Denver Nuggets are starting to tell the same story, over and over again. The Nuggets got out to an 11 point half time lead behind an inspired effort on the boards by Kenneth Faried. The Nuggets continued with the same effort early in the 3rd quarter but squandered their lead away behind some horrible fouls and poor execution.
It wasn't all bad. Jusuf Nurkic had some great moments in this game and the Nuggets even gave him post touches when they needed baskets in the 4th quarter. Faried continued his improved play and showed a lot of effort and energy away from the ball on offense. Wilson Chandler appeared to get out of his shooting slump and had a few nice buckets. The effort was there for most of the game and for stretches the Nuggets looked like the team we expected at the start of the season. Unfortunately, the Nuggets did what they always do and gave up a 16-6 run at the end of the 3rd quarter and the beginning of the 4th quarter.
