In a Christmas present no one wanted, Shams Charania of The Athletic has reported that Aaron Gordon “suffered dog bites to his face and shooting right hand on Monday” that required 21 stitches, and he is out indefinitely. The Denver Nuggets sent out a press release acknowledging the injuries and stating that Aaron is in good condition but will remain away from the team during recovery.
Recovery time from stitches on his shooting hand could vary but multiple weeks should be the minimum expected time. In the meantime, Peyton Watson and Justin Holiday and even Zeke Nnaji will have to shoulder a bigger load, even though no one can fully replace what Aaron Gordon brings to this team. Our thoughts here at Denver Stiffs are with AG and we hope for a quick and complete healing for our Mr. Nugget.
